50 states, 50 lame designs
December 29, 2008
Uninspired…too generic…lame.
I am talking about the 50 states tourism logos. See the original post here. In all fairness, there are a few decent designs that make the state look interesting, but North Carolina…seriously. Microsoft Word should not create logos.
It is sad to see that the hard earned dollars that we all pay in taxes once went to some of these designers. I give props to Georgia though. I love peaches.

I actually like Georgia but your right, the rest are basically trash. West Virginia: text on beveled ovals? is this 1997?

There are actually a few designs that hearken back to the early 90’s…did you see Oklahoma? It is just a sad representation of the state.
