You are such a clock
December 30, 2008
Well, if you aren’t a clock,. then your day definitely revolves around one. This brand exercise by Tanner Woodford (Fill/Stroke) shows just how exposed you are on a daily basis to brands. To his admission, this probably isn’t even the full list.
Seriously…stop reading this right now and look around. Count how many brands and logos you see. I just saw 21…and that was on the left side of my desk and my monitor.
Brands are everywhere and it is harder and harder to get the attention desired. This puts more importance on the “grab” effect of your logo. Does it properly distinguish itself against its competitors on a shelf, or on-line? What makes your brand unique? Can you show that in your logo?
Not only is this an exercise in brand awareness, but also in patience. I am going to do this one day and post my results on here, in totality. I might not do it in a cool way like Tanner, but I will think of something good. Stay tuned.
Your day is busy, but you are exposed to brands all the time. You are such a clock.
